Is vbulletin copyright removal worth the $120

Curious what everyone thinks here. Is there any advanage in terms of SEO, or in terms of "site identity" to remove this copyright?

I don't mind spending the $120 on my various forums, if it would be a benefit.

Interested in the thoughts and theories on this.

I'm going to get it eventually but right now its not a big deal to me. More like that "last" thing I want to do to my forums to better brand the forum I guess.

Do you think there is any SEO effect to having it in the footer?

only if you want to make a different brand name (mostly for corporates) but if you are powered by vbseo its useless yet unless you get a branding free for vbseo as well.

I would get it simply to make the page look cleaner. That and the fact that it is bad enough having to have my own copyright information there, let alone vBs and vBSEOs as well.

    I'm the same as Brent..

It's something I'll have one day, but right now a brand-free VB isn't a big deal for me.

Only if you want to brand your BigBoard as a custom script . Not a thing for small board most of us have.

The branding free version of vBulletin does not allow you to re-brand it as a custom script. It only allows you to remove their name/copyright.

Yeah. .That's right.. What i mean is there is some big forums having a lot of customizations. They look like anything but vB. The if they remove the copyright also the forum looks like a custom script.

It does when your biz uses more than 200 paid scripts, all branded free, which you paid for, and you need and want a clean website with your OWN copyright notice only.

I wouldn't pay $120 to remove a copyright. I have better things to do with my $. Besides, I'm rather proud of the fact that I have a vB forum rather than a fly-by-night free forum script.
