    VBulletin 3.7.2 and vbseo 3.2.0

So i am running VBulletin 3.7.2 and vbseo 3.2.0. I need to update both of these to the latest version vbulletin 3.8.2 and vbseo LATEST.

What steps should i take? Do i need to download a back up of vbseo from my forums so all settings remain same? Please tell me what to do. And then upgrade the forum and then upgrade vbseo?

Please somebody help me in detail.

    Thanks.

Well I would update the forum first since vbseo is a module of vb.

Then yes when you go to update vbseo you would download your vbseo_all_xml to save all your settings. That is very important though so you don't loose any settings. Then of course there will be some new goodies in the update

The instructions in the "docs" folder do go over everything for the upgrade quite nicely. If you follow those to the "T" you won't go wrong

If you have any questions, post back here.

Just wanted to chime in here, everything Kevin said was correct. However, you also might want to back up your vBulletin database before you do the upgrade just in case.

Yes! Sorry, that is always important before performing any sorts of upgrades or installing anything.

It's always good to be on the safe side.

    Thank you Michael
