Are vbseo's default settings good enough?

I just installed vbseo.

Are vbseo's default settings good enough?

There are many features in vbseo that I don't have no idea about and so I don't want to tinker with those.

Are there any changes that can definitely give be an advantage compared to the default settings?

Yes, vbseo is designed to be installed and run out of the box with little to no configuration necessary. If you are unsure of any option, you can simply leave it as is.

Default settings are very good. I made a lot of customization on my vbseo settings. It actually badly affected my seo because google started new algoritym to index forums and changed the SERP results for them. I observed whereas other forums has lots of links for similar threads at SERPs under the normal search results. My forum had few similar threads linked so.

Due to I made my content by customization very unique for google. And no threads looks like each others. So google show them one by one instead of 5 grouped links. The standart ".html" addition at the end of urls helps google to bring relationship between the forum threads.

So i lost big amount of traffic. If i would use the default settings. I would have more traffic for sure. VBSEO staffs knows very good seo. You should trust their defaults.
