    vbseo site unresponsive

    Hi,

Just wanted to post this since vbseo site has been like this for the last few weeks at least. When I enter the vbseo forums directly (i.e. www.vbseo.com/forums) with IE8, the website is unresponsive for the first several seconds (~20s) and also makes the browser unresponsive as well. This doesn't happen with Firefox and happens only when I enter the site for the first time after which browsing is all normal. I don't know if it's related to tweetboard, but when the site becomes responsive again the tweetboard appears on the left. Anyway, I hope it's not related to the vbseo plugin itself.

    Cheers, Jarkko

Strange, this happens consistently on my PC. Even when I cleaned IE8 cache & disabled anti-virus it didn't help. Anyway, no big deal. I can spare few seconds few times a month I visit the site (:

Edit: Ok, in case you want to track it down I tried it on another PC running 32-bit WinXP (the other is 64-bit Win7) and it has similar behavior that the website takes ~30s to open. I got 10Mbit/s connection so that shouldn't be it.

It has been a problem for me, using IE8 as well.

Have you tried clicking on the compatibility mode icon?

Yes, but isn't that just a "work-around" for a problem?

Sure, but it might help to spot the actual problem.
