    VBSEO Setup

    Hello Admins of VBSEO,

How long does it take to get my paid installation done?

Why doesn't anyone give me a time frame or response to my support ticket?

Can we get started on this ASAP?

Communication is appreciated. Not auto-responders that I seem to get bombarded with.

    Thank You,

    Eric

    Hello Eric,

    Welcome to vBSEO!

We've received your ticket and your installation service will be performed as soon as a technician is available.

Please keep in mind that support on weekends is limited, as we state in our Service Level Agreement (you can find it at vbseo_download_package/docs (do not upload)/vBSEO Service Level Agreement (SLA).pdf):

    http://www.vbseo.com/go/SLA

Also please be aware that a holiday weekend has started for some of our Technical Support Engineers (you may want to check this out: Holiday Weekend), and thus support is even a bit more limited today. But that doesn't matter, I will take care of your ticket

If there's anything else we can assist you with, feel free to let us know at any time. We will be more than happy to help!.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting the install done. I appreciate it.

    A couple questions....

You sent me a email that states "I've chmod'ed your vbseo/resources/xml/config.xml file to 444 for security purposes."

Then I went into my vbseo control panel and in the dashboard tab it states "Note: Your config.xml is not writable. Settings cannot be saved".

My question is, what do I chmod this file to, to make it secure and so I can write to it and make my changes to the program?

    Thank You,

    Eric

It should be 444 for normal day-to-day.
chmod it to 666 ONLY while you are in the CP making changes.
Put it back to 444 when you are done for security.
