VBAdvanced Question.

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if VBSeo will run with VBAdvanced?.

If so, for those who are running this combination, do you experience any site slowdowns after adding VBAdvanced?

I currently have VBClassifieds, Photoplog and VBSeo running, and was going to ad VBAdvanced to help optimise my main index page ( which is currently outdated frames).

I only intend to use a couple of modules from VBAdvanced, news and a sidebar for navigation...

wondering if there is anything special I would have to do due to having VBSeo installed?

Thanks

yes it will work with vBa. Nothing special to do. If you want to re-write any pages, you can with the CRR's

Off topic, i wouldn't call vBa "optimizing" anything, but that's my personal opinion.

Thankyou Brian for such a quick response.. I think it will be optimising what I have there now.LOL..
Here is my home page My Little Pony Trading Post! current frames....

The frames are common to my home page and forum, the members love the side navigation and would be lost without that... however the frames seem to be having a detrimental effect on google placements for my sites main keywords. I cannot rank anywhere and have been told its due to the frameset.

What I was intending to do is make that same sidebar in VBadvanced and then use a middle column for news. ( wouldnt be using right column)...

If you have other suggestions that would be wonderful,

Many thanks

Terrie

yeah, frames went out of spec in 1999. lol

you can easily make a sidebar without using vbadvanced. its really a simple template modification, and there's several plugins for it on vb.org

LOL Brian Yes I know they are dinosaurs.

Those mods over at VBAdvanced didnt do what I wanted.... I want the sidebar on my main page and forums also... plus the mods from VBA looked bad.... Ive tried various things, nothing will mimic the action of those frames..
If you have other suggestions Id be interested to hear..

Put a Column on the Left Side of Every Forum Page - vBulletin.org Forum

very simple template hack. that gives you a table

[-----left nav-----------| ----------------- forum --------------]

jsut cut/paste your frame's source into the left nav portion

Ive looked at that one, and many errors,..... also kerry annes ultimate side columns, that isnt supported anymore. None of those ones looked much good.. I also did manual header changes as per instructions on VB.com, though nothing gave the look I was after. .. and I thought VBA may give me more options too since then I can put news opposite etc..

I just am worried that VBAdvanced might affect performance.as Im on shared hosting etc.... and have a few add ons already
