    VB4 default rewrite files?

As many of you might know, inside the do_not_uplaod folder that comes with vbulletin 4, there is a subfolder named rewrite, and it contains a .htaccess and a web.config

Am I correct to assume that these are for vbulletin's default url rewrite features? But, more important, do I need use vbulletin's default rewrite files if I am using vbseo (and the respective vbseo rewrite file)?

    Thanks in advance.

Those files should not be there.
    2 products (xml)
    1pdf (EULA)
    1txt file (troubleshooting)
    1 html file (readme)

is all that is in the do not upload folder.

Download vBulletin 4.0.1 from vBulletin.com and let me know as I just did, and a rewrite folder is present....

    Hello,

If you are going to use vBSEO, do not use those rewrite files. Use the ones from your vBSEO download file in the htaccess folder.

I'm sorry, i was confused. I thought you were referring to the vBSEO Download package, not vb4.

Yes, you don't need those with vbseo.
