What do you guys think about using RSS feeds? Is it good SEO strategy to not offer them at all. I mean, being able to read posts without visiting my site does not sound too convincing to me, but I might be wrong.
Some of my user want RSS feeds, because they want to be able to mark posts as important for later reading. Ain't this possible using standard forum tools?
Any recommendation is welcome!

I use them and recommend them. You don't have to give them the whole content just a snippet.

Hi,
i just wrote that, if you perform the changes proposed in the linked thread (i.e. strip content from informing mails!), you consistently have to strip the content from the rss feed too.
I do not know how to do this with a minimum of effort, but I think that a code modification is necessary!?
If someone has a hint .. please tell.
