    Two Domain question

I have a question. I have two domains. one with a .net and one with a .org. The .net is the main site, and has a page rank and .org is just a domain set to redirect to the .net page. Would that affect the page rank. I have a page rank for the .net website, however it shows none on the .org and also when you type in it the domain name with the .org it doesn't show up on the search engine pages.

I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this, am i doing something wrong.?

what you should do is 301 redirect the entire .org domain to .net. you DONT want to run two sites that are mirrors of each other.

Thanks for the reply. I currently use namesecure for the domain, and they have an url forwarding option. is that the same? I'm guessing not, because i have that turned on..

So does that mean i have to host it on a server, and create a php or html page that uses the redirect script.

if its forwarded to the .net, then it sounds right to me.
if it's Parked on the .net, then you want to change it

Thanks for the reply guys. I just looked on google and searched for more information about 301 redirects and they have a redirect checker. Search Engine Friendly Redirect Checker

My .org url redirects to the .net but however it by turning on the url forwarding option on the .org to direct to the .net

However when i used the site to check my .org url it says:

Either the site is NOT REDIRECTING to any URL or the redirect is NOT SEARCH ENGINE FRIENDLY

Though when you type in the url it is redirecting... ? So i'm guessing it means its not a 301 redirect. So i would have to put it on a host, and set it up a web page with the included code so it 301 redirects and be search engine friendly?

You should just park your other domains on your primary domain, then use the lines in the vBSEO .htaccess file to 301 redirect to your primary domain.

There are two lines near the top of the .htaccess file that are commented out. Update them to reflect your primary domain name, and uncomment them. That will handle 301 redirecting any parked domains to your primary domain.
