Exclamation Thread prefix or same title?

    Hello,
I am obliged by necessity to use in some specific sections the same thread title, here an example
    Tabelle Analisi Estrazione
and this isn't really good for SEO.

Now what I ask is, it would be better to choose a title prefix for example type:

    [Tabelle Analisi]

and as the title using only the last definition of that currently used like:

[Tabelle Analisi] dell'estrazione di sabato 20 settembre 2008
    [Tabelle Analisi] dell'estrazione di marted́ 9 settembre 2008

    etc....

this method would help me in some way to improve on search engines?

In most cases I would recommend letting the titles stand on their own, even if some duplicate titles are encountered.

There could be possibilities for forum categories that are so specific they would benefit from a thread prefix that would create combinatorial keyword groups using the prefix + other keywords in the thread title.

In most cases, your long tail will be better served by not using the prefix.

What could I do to solve this:

just removing the tag "estrazioni" from all threads?
The Google webmaster tool diagnostics shows that are 5 pages with the same title, and that's true, any suggestion?

Another thing, I've closed for Guests' The calendar and member list, but in the Google (with upgraded sitemap) it show anyway these pages and a lot of duplicate titles.
How's possible? spiders bypass the usergroups permissions?

Did you block it with robots.txt also? It could take a while for Google to update the messages in the webmaster tools.

What could I do to solve this:

    Quote:
Lotto SQUEEZE Community - La Base per il Gioco del Lotto - Threads Tagged with estrazioni
    ‎/tags/estrazioni-page2.html‎‎
    /tags/estrazioni-page3.html‎‎
    /tags/estrazioni-page4.html‎‎
    /tags/estrazioni-page6.html‎‎
You can modify your "tag_search" template for that:
    FIND:
    Code:
    <title>$vboptions[bbtitle] - <phrase 1="$tag[tagtext]">$vbphrase[threads_tagged_with_x_title]</phrase>
    and append to it:
    Code:
    <if condition="$pagenumber>1"> - Page $pagenumber</if>

Yes - you could remove the forum title as well.

You should ask yourself... for your forum, would the tags benefit from being considered with your forum title, or without it (standing on their own).

Most often I prefer allowing content to stand on its individual title, rather than clouding it with the forum's title everywhere.
