Spidered in 5 mins ? how?

Refering to this forum (http://www.arcon5.com/modules.php?na...ewtopic&t=161), how is it a thread was indexed so quickly but when I used to run a website it took about 10-12 days to even update my Page Title?
I dont understand. I no longer run a website, but have been reading alot about optimising websites, and I know it takes time, but how can my website ever acheive such quick results? I hope to setup an information based website for my uni course in the future.
Any1 know much about this area of optimisation that can assist me ?

In 5 minutes? It has to be coincidence. The search engine bot just happened to be around at the time.

Google has just been acting darn weird lately. Some stuff on my site is indexed very fast. Other stuff has been dropped with no rhyme or reason.

I figured adsense had something to do with you getting spidered so fast, but you don't seem to be running it on that page.
