"Smart Bots" auto posting content from other sites

I'm beginning to see what I can only describe as "Smart Bots" posting on my forums. It appears they are running through an automated process that involves:

• Registering (possibly circumventing captcha and other spam prevention features - may be a manual process)
• Grabbing the title of a thread
• Putting title into a search engine
• Retrieving relevant body text from the first result
• Posting text as a reply to a thread

I can't determine if this action is fully or partially automated, but I've seen it happen several times over the last couple months. In one case an account posted several hundred posts spanning several hours.

Has anyone else seen this happen? If so have you figured out any more information on what the motivation of these posters are and where they are coming from?

i have seen same on my sites, though i ban them they always try to post and get no permission error, i am also looking for a perfect solution to stop auto posting bots
