setting your 'defaul view age' setting on forum manager on vb...

does it matter what you have the default view age set to under your forum manager on vbulletin as to what the search engines will index?

ie if i have my forums set to default view age of 1 month will posts made earlier than 1 month ago not end up in the search engines?

if so i have half a million posts on my forum and all my forums are set to default view age of a month lol

also ive noticed the page link buttons on the showthread page only show so many pages. will the search engines find there way through? or is there some sort of map i can lay down

my site is oldskoolanthemz.com, ive had vbseo on for about 2 years now and i still dont seem to be seeing many indexed pages through google considering i have 500k posts. you can see what i mean here:

    siteldskoolanthemz.com vbseo - Google Search=

any advice anyone can give me would be most appreciated

The default age setting impacts the number of pages that contain threads, and linked in the vbulletin pagenation. Therefore, those links would only be crawled if they are linked somewhere else. Therefore, it is best to have the default age set to show all posts from the beginning. Note however that this massive immediate increase in content could have a short term effect on search engines as been noted here on vbseo in the past. Meaning that this big increase could be viewed negatively for a while.

Sure, the pagenation in showthread will provide the links to get there. Initially if it shows page 1, 2, 3, 4, 11...when you click on page 4 you will get 5, 6, 7, 8, 15....etc.

The links at the bottom are archive footer links and can be enabled via your vbseocp.
