I'm creating a site for a client Nick Usborne,

The site has a subscription service, where only people who pay can read the content and ask him questions.

I know this will cause a problem with search engines not being able to read the content, therefore, they wont index him.

I was wondering, will vBSEO benefit him in any way?

Anybody? He's thinking of buying it, but is wondering whether or not it will help?

Are you allowing guests to view thread titles and just not able to view the thread content, or is everything blocked?

How would I go about allowing guests to view thread titles only?

There's a permission with vBulletin 3.5.x. Edit the unregistered usergroup and set "Can View Forum" and "Can View Others Threads" to YES and "Can View Thread Content" to NO.

Okay, so they can see thread titles, but not the content.

Will this make vBSEO worth it?

Hey, we opened the website today And I was still wondering if vBSEO would be worth buying?

Guests CAN see thread titles, but not the actual content.

You can put spiders in a usergroup other than guests so that spiders can crawl the site and still limit guests - but I'm not sure if Google considers that as kosher.

Yea I was looking at that. I have a rather unique system happening on the site though. When users register they have access for 24 hours, then are bumped down into another usergroup which doesnt have access, so they must pay for the subscription. So registered users are only technically registered users for 24 hours.
