You could also hide the print thread option from guests and block the .printthread.php in your robots.txt

There's a setting inside vBSEO CP that allows you to stop vBSEO from rewriting printthread URLs. You can find it at:

vBSEO CP -> URL Rewrite Settings -> Forum URLs -> 'Advanced Settings' tab -> Rewrite Printthread URLs?

Set it to no.

Then add:

Disallow: printthread.php

to your robots.txt (how to make a good one )
