SEO: How much content per day?

I'm thinking about splitting off a forum on one of my general chat sites to a new site dedicated to the topic.

This forum has a ton of old threads which have been pruned a few years ago and the threads are no longer on the site / no longer in google's search engine.

I am thinking about importing these threads into the new site to help build up the content quickly.

- how much content should I make available per day? Will google care if it suddently gets 1k threads in one day or would it like 100 posts per day for 10 days?

- will google have an issue with threads dating 2002 when the domain was only registered in 2010?

Would be interested in peoples thoughts on this too. For about a year I've held domain names for a very active subforum on my main site with the intention of one day branching out into this niche (plus will already have members to get it going)... although I was planning on transitioning by closing the subforum (but leaving it visable), copying across account logins of anyone that has used the subforum (on the new domain), and using $vbseo_forum_slugs to 301 to the new domain.

I've never done anything like this so I really can't comment on the effect.

I don't think the content will be an issue, but the back-dates might. How is the import going to work? None of those members will match.

I would sugest taking the best ones and making articles out of the manually.

Clean install so the members will be imported too.

I was thinking about the date issue and for now I went into admincp -> settings and under the "Date and Time Options" left the fields blank. It actually looks okay. I might do this for new sites in general as they start off.
