    SEO Help for Google

    Evening guys!

OK ill keep it short and sweet, I run a football (soccer) forum that has been going a while now and have swapped many links, paid for vbseo, paid for google adwords and have a PR2 etc etc

I have 600 members which isn't bad but a friend of mine who is good with forums started the same site recently with about 5 link exchanges and he is already on the first few pages for google and I cant even find mine on there anymore (although I am on there) for many search terms including "football forum"

Can anyone help me as it's driving me mad and I must be higher on google like he is, an ideas? I am willing to pay someone if they can help me do this!

Oh he also doesn't even have vbseo and has a pr1!!!

    • Get rid of the "Browse Members" link for guests
    • Use the welcome headers mod, convert it to an image. Get rid of your current default welcome text with link to FAQ (useless).
    • Disable the info in this section from guests: Total members that have visited the forum today: 18
    • Are you using our homepage alias feature? Why is your site accessible from index.php?
    • I would get rid of chatbox, groups, and help for guests (links at top).
    • Stop using your "site title" on every page of your forum.
    • Stop displaying your sub-forum description on every thread page. Use Relevant Replacements instead.
    • Replace your showpost link with permalink on thread pages.
    • Work on adding and improving your sub-forum descriptions.
