Seo bots and java

Some java they can read and some they cant , whats the deciding factor ?

java CAN be an applet as in yahoo games... but it can be MANY other things. It runs as full complied software (open office is written in java, as is azereus, etc), provides tomcat served application programing in .JSP (similar to php, only its java-based), and even powers many mobile devices now.
