Renamed Category and forums - redirect

Can anyone please help me with the correct redirect after renaming a category and two forums within that category

I'm using the following vBSEO settings for rewrites:

• General Options -> [forum_title]
• Forum URLs -> [forum_title]/
• Thread URLs -> [forum_title]/[thread_id]-[thread_title].html

the following rewrite rule in vbseocp->"Custom redirects" should work:

'old-forum-title/(.*)' => 'new-forum-title/$1'

I attempted to rename a category and use the redirect method listed above, but it isn't working. I get the standard error message:

Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator.

Is there something else I need to do?

'^old-forum-title/(.*)?' => 'new-forum-title/$1'

I just tried that and no luck. I'm pasting it in "Custom Rewrite Rules" directly under:

I need to remove the '.html' from my webstructure since I have changed from

006 - Hierarchic .html type URLs with content relevant threads
to ->
002 - Hierarchic directory type URLs with content relevant threads

Can anybody please give me the right code to redirect correctly

I thought I would need to do this:

'^*.html$' => '/'

but then I get an error :P

006 and 002 use the same forum display urls, /f2/ for example.
Threads will auto 301.

There is nothing to do.

and:

www.website.com/f22/taking-over-google-92.html

is redirecting to homepage..

and should change to www.website.com/f22/taking-over-google-92/
