    Remove vBSEO Link?

While doing some research today for an article I'm writing on the dangers of linking to bad neighborhoods I discovered that many of my vBulletin sites are actually considered to be linking to a bad neighborhood. Guess which one? The Crawlability site which poses a site wide off site link which isn't the ideal for SEO.

I've discovered that crawlability.com is considered a bad linking environment because some of the users of the tool vbseo are in fact sites that can be considered bad neighborhoods.

In my article I'll be suggesting that vbseo allow for options "FREE" of charge to specific industry categories as opposed to just the root of the site. This may help dig people out of bad neighborhood associations.

You can visit the bad neighborhood site to examine for yourself

I'll certainly follow up after my research is done but for now I leave with this question.

Is there an option to change the links in all of my forums to point to a different domain?

FORGOT TO MENTION. The article I'm doing about VBSEO is POSITIVE. I love the product and can certainly say it is highly advantageous for anyone to use it.

Just thought I'd tell you that so someone cant beat me up for writing on the dangers of site wide offsite links even though it is a true issue with the SERPS

You can change the 'linked' Copyright to 'unlinked'.

    here is how.

    Code:

You can purchase the branding removal option if you prefer.

However, vBSEO is far from a bad network. Copyright notices, be it "powered by" or "site created by", etc., have been around as long as the web, with links, and there would be absolutely no reason to apply any penalty for that.

On the other hand linking to a link farm, or adding links to a seedy directory, or buying a gamut of inbound links from poorly selected sites is asking for trouble.

Given that vbseo.com/crawlability.com don't actually have a Directory of Customer Sites currently, I'd have to say that 100% of non-Branding-Free vBulletin Forums are "worse" culprits as far as 'linking to bad neighbourhoods' goes.

*edit* Hmm. I thought there was a link-back in the vB copyright. I was mistaken.
