registered user allow to view attachment?

Do you think that if we only allow registered user to view attachment, would it affect the SEO?

In general which would you recommend?

I allow both registered users and guests to view attachments since i get 50~75 daily referrals from images.google.com . If you decide not to show attachments to guests i advise you to disable rewrite option for attachments.

I think maybe i should start allowing users to view pictures ...

Initially my thought was by imposing registered user only to increase my member counts.

In you vBSEO Control Panel please search for Advanced Settings (+ / -) and click + to open advanced settings. Within the new menu you can see the following option : Attachment URLs. Please choose no to disable Attachment rewrite option and click save.

Mod_rewrite is usually an extensive process on servers. If you won't use it then disabling that will help cpu usage on your server.
