    Referrerid not being rewritten (Referrals)

I just tested the Referer stuff on vBulletin 4 and vBSEO 3.5 RC2. It looks like domain.com/?referrerid=2 is not being rewritten to a version without the query string. That might be a duplicate content issue. Is it possible to rewrite this?

That's also the case here on vBSEO.com: vBSEO - The Leading SEO Plugin for vBulletin

    Thanks!

    Hello ,

We are using a custom index page on vBSEO.com that is not tied to vBulletin.

Hi Mert. Ok, but even with vBulletin in the root it's currently not being rewritten: Check this for an example:

    Emo - Emostar

Sorry for the missunderstanding, I'm just concerned about the duplicate content here:

Could that be the case here? Normal URL without referrer:
    Code:
    http://www.emostar.de/
    URL with referrer:
    Code:
    http://www.emostar.de/?referrerid=2
If both are being indexed it might be treated as duplicate content. So I was thinking about vBSEO rewriting that querystring to
    Code:
    http://www.emostar.de/
.. as referrals are tracked through cookie anyway. Makes sense?

    Thanks,
    Andreas

Can you try defining the following Custom Redirect within vBSEO Cp

    Code:
    '^(.*)\?referrerid=.+$' => '$1'

The better thing to do would be to add referrerid to your stop parameter list in webmaster tools.google-param-han-100.png
