About LinkBacksI understand that. Though the indexed url is, as far as Google is concerned a 200 url, according to the last time crawled. I have not seen any redirects indexed in search results, nor have I seen urls marked as 301 - have you got any examples ?

No, you are correct. Google will NOT index anything but a 200. But when you change urls, those 200's that were previously indexed have now become 301s, and will need to be replaced.
