Hi everyone - my investing website at ROIC :: Phil Town & Rule #1, Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham Value Investment Community has some pretty lengthy title tags, probably about 85 characters at the TLD, many more when in a subforum.
Problem is that the words in the Title tag are Highly relevant/descriptive keywords. I just dont know what I can do to trim it down. For example:
at my cmps/forums directories, the title is: ROIC :: Phil Town & Rule #1, Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham Value Investment Community
in any of my forumsections, it gets even longer: Searching for a Rule #1 Investment - ROIC :: Phil Town & Rule #1, Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham Value Investment Community
now, I know google only shows about 65 title characters in the search results and everything after that gets a "..."
am I being penalized by the search engines for these lengthy titles? If so, what options do I have to trim it down? Each of the keywords I use are highly relevant and descriptive to my niche. The only idea I had was to abbreviate terms and ending up with something like ROIC :: Phil Town & Rule #1, Buffett, Graham Value Investment Community but that hardly does me justice in terms of dropping characters. I also fear that it would have an adverse reaction to the relevancy of my page content.
What options do I have?
