    Arrow PR Progress: case study (ongoing)

    ok... just installed last night and got basics all configured. I know I will do and need much more in the time to come but... its a start.

    so..i figure this is a good place to mark progress or regression of my site's PR and ranking etc. I'll keep reporting and posting to see what affects or not I can get with vbSEO installed.

    ============================================

    so as of today I start with:
    - root: PR 3
    - forum index: PR 1-2 (1 consolidated)

    - Threads: 3,658,
    - Posts: 35,996,
    - Members: 637,
    - Active Members: 87

    - number 1 -2 rank for keywords "Unreal Tournament Snipers" (my main targeted keyword on Google. yay!
    - number 1 (kinda) via rank site for "unreal tournament clan", but page 2, 19th listing for actual site
    - looking to expand into general gaming terms: "gaming" being the biggest (though of course, not hopeful there..just a broad goal)

    NOTE: though I do get traffic via yahoo and others... G is best for benchmarkign and still get most traffic. too annoying to track all of them for this thread (maybe later).

    and with that.... let us begin..... wish me luck.

    I would suggest that rather than studying your ranking for a couple terms, monitor the amount of search engine referrals you have been getting on a monthly basis, and compare it to what you get now that you have vbseo installed.

    Te amount of referrals you are getting is a much better gauge on success than individual search engine rankings.
