Page 2, etc... good or bad for seo?

Talking about in the title. I have learned from this forum that there are many things that need to be done to better seo vulletin.

I have taken the forum title out of the threads to prevent dillution.

now, what about threads that have multiple pages? Is it best to leave the code in that makes the title show "page 2, page 20, etc.." ? Looks easy enough to take out in the template, but just wondering what the SEO guys here thought about it.

You can look how I have all mine set up on my site. I am OCD about having it neat and presentable. I do not have the Page 2 etc in there because 99% of the people do not care what page it is as long as it has what they want in it.

I was lead to believe that including the corresponding page number can help search engines identify that there is an actual difference within the content and that the meta tags, and title are not being unnecessarily replicated.
