    .org or .co

I have a .org domain that it is 7 years old that I purchased with vbulletin and vbseo installed on it.

I also happen to have a .co of the same name(not in use yet). Would I be ok to have the .org forward to .co? Would this hurt to change to .co as for in respect for seo. I'm hoping this would improve upon things.

    Thanks

You would be starting over. I would suggest staying on the .org and park the .co on it.

Yeah definitely stick with the .org. A lot of weight is giving to the age of your site.

And why do you want to use .co? Way to early to know whether .co will be a success or not?

I would say .org, It's most common than .co, Members can remember .org than .co so I would suggest user .org and park .co as Brian said.

I was thinking to go with the .co because the talk is that it's the next big domain to .com and .org I see it as an organization. Also looking into things, the .org may be seven years old but the site is only six months.

They seem to trump up every new extension as the next big thing, but so far all of them have pretty much been failures. As a side note, Colombia has made clear that they will always keep it associated with their country. So even if you are using the .co to represent COmpany, COllege, etc it will always remain a Colombian extension.

Personally, I like that it's short but it's also confusing for consumers who are accustomed to .com since it's so similar. I'll "never say never" and tell you it will be a failure, but I don't foresee it being a homerun anytime soon.
