One of my forums got all screwed up with the last google update

I have no idea how this happened, but it did.

This is a small, fairly new forum with under 5,000 posts.

During this recent google PR update, I lost all pagerank for every forum on the site. The only page that has pagerank is my vbadvanced homepage.

At the same time, indexed pages climbed from 600 to over 27,000. How I can have that many pages indexed with only 5,000 posts is beyond me.

Now for the strange part. Since the update, through yesterday, none of my forums were accessible via a google search. You could see them via "site:", but if you typed in the URL in google, nothing existed. As of today they are back in the google index (at least the ones I checked), but due to whatever got screwed up with google, I am showing a ton of indexed pages, all with zero pagerank.

Is it me, or does google get more screwed up everyday?

Well, today is looking good still :P

and i cleared well over $100 yesterday.....

Mine lasted about a month, from start to finish, so if you make it past that, I'll know there's hope for me. My Adsense payment alone for last month, due to be deposited this month, was over $1300. As of today, I'm up to $142 total for this month. :(

so what happened? you fell out of google?

Yep. 400k+ pages, now down to a current count of 69k or so, but most of those 69k are supplemental. My Google referrals are now basically nil, where they were 4-5k a day last month.

nah, it was some sort of goofy glitch with google. All my pages disappeared during the PR update except my homepage, and I am showing 27,000 pages indexed when you check via "site:mydomain...." when there is no way I have anywhere near that many. It was especially weird considering google didnt show any of the pages actually in their search whe I manuall searched for them.

As of today, they are back within google, but only after I lost all pagerank for every page. My forumhome was a PR4 and several of my individual forums were PR3 and 4. Now they are all 0.

I had just started getting google referrals again for this site after being buried for a couple months. Luckily I benefitted from yahoo's update and I am getting some good rankings there.

Nice. It's always best not to have to rely on any single search engine for traffic.

Yes, I try to preach that to everybody, although most seem to concentrate soley on google for their search engine rankings.

On a good note though, I gained an additional 40,000+ vbseo pages on my larger site.

Well, google gives us the most referrers. Our top 10 referrers are all google servers from different countries, yahoo is on #14. Next SE is on #30.

But I agree on relying on different SEs.
