    off topic forums - block from guest/spider view?

    I was thinking about it this morning. If you are trying to build rankings for a certain area, do thousands of posts in an off-topic forum hurt the forums overall rankings for your targetted keywords?

    I havent blocked this forum yet, because I dont know the answer to this. Curious what the SEO people around here think about this.
