Question A novice with a couple of naive questions, please HELP :)

Just joined as a new member who bought vBSEO afresh with a couple of stupid questions

As for removing "Powered by vBulletin" from my forum title (not the footer), does this constitute an infraction to my vBulletin licence, since I haven't paid for the removal of vB branding???

Another thing, when I went to the download section, I noticed it asks to try Encoder Compatibility Test Script
to test for Compatibility. Now, can someone provide me with instructions on how to do that!!!

    Thanx in advance

    Helloooooooooooooo

I think there's a big black hole in your support, guys :( -- Sorry to say this, but shouldn't there be a manual for vBSEO somewhere on the forum, or included along with your downloaded software???!!!

Removing "Powered by vBulletin" from your forum *title* is NOT an infraction.

Download test.php. Upload it to your forum directory on your webserver. Then load the test.php file from your browser, such as:

    Code:
    http://yourdomain.com/forum/test.php
The script will inform you of the vBSEO version it recommends you to install. If neither is supported, please let us know. Our support team can possibly help you upgrade your server.

Thank you so much, dear Joe. This was the result as seen below:

    So what's next?
Should I delete the test.php from the site, then upload the Zend Encoded version, as it is suggested?

    Please tell me how!!!

    Hello ,

You can delete the test.php file and download Zend version from http://www.vbseo.com/downloads/ . After downloading the file please extract it to your computer and check the readme.html file located in docs folder for installation instructions.

    Thank you for this.

Now, do I have to upload .htaccess file to my forums folder?
