    Need advices. :)

My forum is totally new, around 2-3 days? Anyways, I was wondering, whether I should have lot's of categories or should I start up with little?

How much did you start with when you start your forums?

Please, tell me ways to start up! Thanks!

Smaller is better. When you don't have a lot of users or content, it's better to start building it up in a small number of forums.

As you get more content and members, you can start adding new forums.

I'm sure if you search the Web you can find more detailed articles on the subject. Let us know if you find a good resource.

    I checked out your forum:
    GamerzArea - Powered by vBulletin

FYI: [HOW-TO] Remove "Powered by vBulletin" from Your Page Titles

You *could* try some combinations if you wanted:
    • Feedback | Suggestions | Requests (combines 2 forums)
    • General Discussions | Introductions (combines 2 forums)
    • You could bring your "Online Gaming" and "Gaming Consoles" sections into one: "Gaming".
      • Then you could get rid of the sub-forums for the different (a) online games, and (b) consoles.
      • BUT - add them back once you get a lot of content about them, and move your old thread content into the new sub-forums.
    • Can you lose any of them:
      • Spam Hell?
    • RSS Feeds - Great idea. If you can find more of them, you should add them.
Also: Make at least 1 post in every one of your forums. You don't want them to contain 0 threads. Start packing relevant threads and posts into each one. If you're not sure what to post, go to another gaming forum and see what their most active threads are for the related area, and post something similar to that.

    Suggestion for your template header/logo:
Gamers are really attracted to the visual. While your template is cool, I would find out what the #1 selling (or #1 most popular) online game or console game is, and then take screen shots and fit those shots up into your heading area on both sides of the logo.

If you have a thread about the most popular console, put a question in the image over the screenshot, and link it to the thread that talks about it. People who hit your forum will see the question instantly. Make the question something really bold, interesting, challenging, thought provoking, challenge, etc. Try taking the #1 game in the world, screenshot it, and then put text over it that says "Top 5 Reasons This Game Sucks", and link it to a controversial thread. You can use stuff like that in your signature at other gaming sites as well.
