Moving large vbulletin forum (with vbseo) to new domain

    Hi all

I have a large vBulletin Forum (with vbseo) which I need to move to a new domain. The forum is 12 years old, has about 300,000 posts and 65,000 pages indexed in Google.

I've done a bit of research on the topic, and believe these are the required high-level steps:

    - Close the board
    - Change the URL in the admincp > vb options > site url details
    - Update cookie value in admincp > vb options > Cookies and HTTP Header Options
    - Copy the files to the new domain
    - Update config.php with new domain details
    - Log into Admin Panel
    - Change any hard-coded links from the old domain name
    - Set 301 Redirect from old domain to new domain in .htaccess of old domain
    - Open the board

    Am I missing anything?

If anyone has done a similiar move, I'd really appreciate your experiences/insights. I'm obviously a bit apprehensive and really want to manage the risks.

How long do you think it will take of Google to re-index the pages.

Thanks, in advance, for your help

Yes, I did the move. All worked out well in the end. The steps I listed pretty much covers all the tasks.
