    Moving Forum sub-folder

Currently my forum is located in Mazdatruckin.com Truck Forum and Tech Site I would like to move it to /Forum/index.php or even better yet /mazda/forum.php

Would I need to reinstall the forum in the /mazda/ subfolder and import the database?

Could I just rename /vBulletin/ to /mazda/ then do a .htaccess redirect from the vbulletin folder to the mazda folder and then change the settings from the admin panel?

If I want to change index.php to forum.php what else would I need to do besides change the file name and add a redirect?

I don't want to miss anything bone headed that will screw up half my site, or worse drop my site rankings instead of increase them.

    Hello Ken ,

You can just rename vBulletin to mazda and then redirect all traffic within vBulletin folder via .htaccess . If you have forum path defined anywhere make sure to correct them.

I gave this a shot, either I missed something or it's not that easy. Reassigned the URL setting from the admin panel. Renamed the folder, made a new folder with the old folder name and placed a .htaccess file to redirect and the entire forum went offline. Didn't get any warnings just a white page that said "This page does not exist"
