    Meta Tags

I see a lot of people using different methods for meta tags. for example:

I've seen a lot of experts recommend always separating every word with a comma, like:

    Joe,blow,tennis,player

but I also see some pretty successful sites using keywords like this:

Joe, blow, Joe Blow, Tennis, Tennis Player

Is there a consensus among VBSEO experts as to which is better?

    Thanks,
    Jason

I don't think it matters, but I would use the spaces.

I guess I wasn't clear enough, I wasn't talking about spaces after the comma, I was talking about using either one word, or multiple keywords separated by a comma

For example: If you wanted to rank for "Tennis Player" would your meta tags be.

    1. tennis, player (each word separated by a comma)
    2. tennis player, (key words grouped together, then separated by a comma)

    Thanks,
    Jason

I also use the latter method of

nfl, football, nfl football, etc etc etc

Seems to be working well for me so far

I would rather keep the phrases unbroken, and then not repeat.

    NFL Football
    not

    NFL, Football, NFL Football
    and not

    NFL, Football

I was always told that Google etc would ignore that way Joe, as it is a repeat of the keywords.

Whereas NFL, Football, would still pull up NFL Football in search results, plus you would have more space for more words rather than keep repeating. Which is what you are doing using:

    NFL, Football, NFL Football

Yes - that was also a version I preceded by "not" to use.
