A meta name question

Hi Guys,

Firstly vBSEO seems to be working great it's adding a lot of urls to google from my forum and I'm quite happy with the progress thus far/

However, I have a problem with meta names/desc etc.

Firstly if it helps my site is MySpain.es

I have vBadvanced as a front end and then vB as the main site.

I have changed the meta description & keywords changed on both vB and vBadvanced and I have Dynamic META TAGS in vBSEO disabled.

My problem is although I'm getting a pages added to google and it's moving along fine if someone searches "british expat spain" for example my site does not come up.

Nor when you find an entry on google does it mention any of the meta entries.

Any ideas would be great as I'm at a loss to think of how to get this working.

I really need to attract the people googling for "british expat spain" and stuff like that and I think that's probably only done via meta description?

META tags are not the most critical factor for SEO. If you want to rank for that particular term, you should build as many links as you can into your site, specifically a page optimized for that term, using varied (but related) anchor text.

Google's algorithm chooses what snippet text it uses for the listings. Sometimes it may pull it from the META tags. Other times it may come directly from the content.
