Member profile page rewrite?

I changed the default profile rewrite option to:

members/[user_name]/

This still points to Xxx.com

Is there anyway I can change it to rewrite to just Xxx.com?

One small problem.

One of my members has an "&" in the middle of their names. Is there a rewrite that will easily work around this? Right now, their profile page URL is pointing to FIRSTandLAST (the rewrite is expanding the &).

Do you mean that profile is not loaded correctly in this case? Please give an example URL.
