    Exclamation Markup Validation

    Hello,

    I was doing a check here :

[Invalid] Markup Validation of http://www.crimecasefiles.com/forum/ - W3C Markup Validator

This is the first time I have done this and I think that it looks concerning.

Is this a major problem? and if so should I fix it asap?

I would not say it is a major problem, but one that should be fixed. I see that you have 174 errors that you need to fix.

if you are using xhtml, your markup should be xhtml. end of story.

vbulletin validates by default, so it's all custom template edits that you've made that have broken it.

    I think it's hugely important.
having valid markup is the easiest thing to fix to reduce browser-related bugs. (ie, a guy on safari may see something TOTALLY different than you do in ie)

It may fix problems...but as far as SEO goes, Matt Cutts said it doesn't matter.

    I disagree
a faster loading page is always a good thing
I would try to at least get the errors under 20
