    Lost User permissions

I'm not sure if this is a vbseo related issue or not but here goes.
I have an assistant admin that has lost all his permissions editing posts, threads etc.. Even if I move him to a Super Mod he can not edit posts. has this ever happened? I just installed vbSeo but I'm not sure if this started before or after the install.. All my other Mods don't have this issue only him his user group Id is 9

Anyone ever had this to happen after a install?

We have never had any reported issue such as this, and it sounds very unlikely that it would be vBSEO related.

Did you install anything else recently?

When you remove vBSEO, does it correct the problem?

I have not removed vBSeo but I did turn it off, problem still exists even when it's off.

Could you please try to uninstall and then install again vBSEO xml product file in admincp?

So you need to check other hacks . It is though but you need to disable them one by one and figure out which one is causing the problem.

If I remove it I will have to re do all my settings again?

Never had this issue before vbSEO so I don't think it's other mods.

Your vBSEO settings are stored in config_vbseo.php file and will be unchanged when you uninstal xml product file.

I just disabled another hack that I thought might have an affect on it.

Cyb - Advanced Permissions Based on Post Count

When I disable this hack with vBSEO running his permissions go back to normal

I'm having the same problem as well with admin controls due to this file. If I disable it then all Admin Functions re-appear in my forums but as soon as it's enabled, I loose all admin level functions at a forum level.

I've tried un and re-installing but it's still the same problem.

Aside from vBulletin 3.6.5, I have no other products installed.

Also, I've noticed that when browsing the forum index and clicking on the Last Post listed in the "Last Post" column, I'm no longer taken to the last post on the final page within that thread. Once I turn off VBSEO, functionality returns to normal.

Should I submit a support ticket for this or is it better handled in the forums?

Lastly, should I attempt a complete un and re-install of VBSEO prior to opening a ticket?

    Thanks.

I thought I'd just update that my problem seems to be solved as far as I can tell by making a change to the Thread/Forum Read Marking Type in vBulletin Options/General Settings.

The setting must be as follows:
    • Database (automatic forum marking)
I was using cookie based previously which seemed to be the problem.

From the Troubleshooting.txt file located in your "docs(do not upload)" folder:

    13) New post / last post links for show thread pages seem to be working not quite correctly.

Make sure you have the following settings within your vBulletin admincp: vBulletin Options > General Settings > Thread/Forum Read Marking Type: Database (automatic forum marking)
The cookie storing method is known to be inconsistent since vBulletin 3.0.x.

This also seems to have taken care of my loss of admin functionality within the forums as well.
