Inner post headings donot show up in google

    Hello

This is my current Vbulletin setup. A guest can see Forum and forum post headings, but needs to register before Viewing content or Posting new content.

Currently only my Forum headings title, shows up in google, but not my post headings, this is absolutely holding back my forum's potential.

    Example:

    Forum Headings:

    Thoraxic Surgery Articles,Hospitals, Experience

    Cardiac Surgery Articles, Hospitals, Experience

    Eye Surgery, Articles,Hospitals, Experience

When you click on say Thoraxic Surgery Articles, Hospitals, Experience

a guest can see post headings

Thoraxic surgery in my hospital in ohio.

My experience with thoraxic pre natal care.

Surgical procedures thoraxic study guide etc.

Now in google, these post headings dont show up at all.

I donot know if its a vbulletin or forum setting change?

VBSEO Gods please help me Private message me for any services also

    Thanks

    Prakash

google is a guest. if you block stuff from guests, you block it from google too.

Indexing of 'error pages' (std. vb error with login box) is rare.

my suggestion: open it up. Unless its paid, or you have a GOOD reason to, open it up. closed forums do NOT encourage registrations. it encourages them to use the back button and find the next result

    Sir

    1. I dont want google to index my content, just the headings of the posts.

I have 5000 registered members and 11000 posts.

Wont google index the headings of my posts, its not locked today. Is there any settings I need to change?

only the view content and post content, of the posts need registration in my current setting.

    2. Also can you please let me know how I can open up my threads for viewing content by guests, in Vbulletin setting.

Still I am rooting for my Option 1, if possible.

Option 2 will drastically reduce new registrations.

    Vbulletin Gods,Kindly advise.

Sure, it will reduce registrations... but how many users do you have with 0 post count? A lot I bet. What's the point of that?

    Guests don't see the titles....

There's no headings to be found... just the generic "login" page.

    Firefox is me logged in.
IE is me logged out, and what guests/google see.

the left side you get the generic header, the right side when logged in, is where your titles come into play.

Can you please tell me how should I open up my forum?

I did the locking like 2 years back.

If you still think, opening up the content will help, i will listen to you.

Please help me with the vbulletin setting.

    Thanks

Yes, i think being open is the way to be. Unless you have a paid private section, or staff forum, i believe your site will do better both in rankings and in terms of registrations if its available to be read. Perhaps the NUMBER of registrations will drop slightly, but the post per member ratio will go up.

to open them up, go into the vb ACP, and then go to forum administration permissions. set unregistered to be able to read and view

    Thanks a lot man.

I have done it in my Forum

    Will my indexing explode now?

Do you have an idea, how long the change will actually create substantial increase in indexing?

    Thanks a lot again.

re-run your sitemap generator to alert google of the changes. From there, its a waiting game that's up to google, and no one can say for sure how long. some threads may show up tonight, others may take a couple months.

Now how do I rerun the site generator?

I owe you a treat, if i see an improvement in indexing.

Its a tax season and I get like 600 unique customers a day.

    Please help me.

    Thanks
