I've been reading about how many indexed pages that google has for various site.
I checked mine and it only has 3 indexed pages!

Is your site new?
You can check the indexed pages by typing 'site:' (without quotes) and then your url.
For example,
Code:site:www.vbseo.com
no, the forum has been online for over 2 years.
some stats:

Liverpool Web Site & Forum
if someone could check for me?
Was it the URL that was giving me only 3 then?
cheers for that
If you use link instead of site you will get the backlinks to your site but it's far from accurate.
Check your webmasters tools section for an uptodate backlink check or use the site: option in Yahoo.com.

my indexed pages have reduced:
site:Yo! Liverpool - independent popular online forum community for the northwest and merseyside
and on the genuine website rank Genuine Web DirectoryGenuine Site Rank (BETA) it now says there are no pages indexed by google, is this correct? why is this?
Do not rely on small 3rd party services like that. Often times they'll exceed their Google API limit on daily queries, or will have an un-authorized bot crawling Google that gets flagged. When this happens they either break (stop working) or start reporting erroneous data.
Info from the site query & other info in your Google Webmaster Tools will be vastly more reliable.
