I have errors in my sitemap according to google...

I am getting quite of few errors in my sitemap according to Google. Here is the screenshot from my Webmaster Tools:



can somebody help to get rid of those errors? I am not sure why i even have them. Thank you!

Hi Michael,

Check the following:

If you are using "Replace showpost with permalink", you should NOT include showpost in your sitemap. This option effectively disables showpost, causing the redirect (google doesn't want ANY redirects in the sitemaps, just the final destination)

Also, check if you have the option in the sitemap to "if have vbseo, include old urls?" turned off as well. Since you have vbseo now, you do not need to include the old dynamic urls in your sitemaps.

acp-> vbseo -> vbseo sitemap settings

set both of these to "no":

Thank you! I will now go ahead and resubmit my sitemap to Google

I have deleted the old sitemap from my server, run the SiteMap generator... everything went ok, but i still see same errors in Google... does it take time or did i forgot to do something?

I have set both of those options to off.

Right, it will take a little bit for google to re-download your new files. you can use the "resubmit sitemap" option in the webmasters area to speed things up, but it will still likely take a few hours.

Hey guys, i got rid of errors in sitemap but still have "Not Followed" errors according to Google Webmaster Tools as well as not found. How do i get rid of this?

That's fine. Notice the date in the right hand column. Eventually, those bad pages will drop from their index and clear out of your webmasters area.
