    I can't freeken figure out Yahoo Either@!#@!

What the crap?? Every day Yahoo hits my site with over 100k hits of bot goodness. Than I check what they have indexed and it's crap!

It's been almost 4 months since vbSEO. Check this out:
I put in 3.0.0 a month ago now. What is Yahoo doing? Why is it taking them so long to reindex if I'm seeing so many hits from the bots every day?

They recently released a new version of their Slurp. Perhaps it is still in the troubleshooting stage:

Yahoo has always been a huge with indexing my largest site. Since the new slurp was introduced, that has gone way downhill.

Ah, I see. I didn't run into that article before. It makes sense since in one day last month I went from 7k unique a day to 2k unique from yahoo.

    Same idea for google:

Overall pages: site:cellphoneforums.net - Google Search 306,000 (up from 43,000 a week ago)
vbSEO pages: site:cellphoneforums.net vbseo - Google Search 43,700
    vbSEO 2.4.5: site:cellphoneforums.net "vbseo 2.4.5" - Google Search 5
    vbSEO 3.0.0: site:cellphoneforums.net "vbseo 3.0.0" - Google Search 5,670 (what??)

This doesn't make any sense at all...

Okay, I've been playing around with the site explorer. Been Updating the sitemaps for yahoo and such. Unfortunately they only allow 25 max and right now I have 40 maps.

    Anyway, look at this: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...&fr2=seo-rd-se

Why is it saying that these pages were crawled recently but my OLD url's are showing up?

    Still...

I'm starting to think Yahoo doesn't actually do anything with 301's

I still have several thousand 1 and a half year+ old pages appearing in Yahoo...
And many (all) of them have been spidered several times, but it doesn't look like Slurp cares about the 404 Not Found at all(or 301 for that sake)...

GRR!! This makes me mad cause the majority of my hits used to come from yahoo. Ever since they changed their algorithem, those hits have been cut to less than half.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong either. My URL's are not very impressive despite a very active forum and lots of content for them to index.. not sure why they don't want to add our pages to their indexes.

We're under 1000 on every search engine there is :(

    Yahoo is doing something again:

    1/17: 66,762
    1/18: 115,455

Today hits are already significantly lower from Yahoo. Anyone else notice this?
