Post I am new - vBSEO TIPs

Hello, and sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I hope it's not..

I was wondering if there is a collection, or a recommendation of vBSEO settings tips that have proven to be more effective..

I am completely new to vBSEO, so I am cautious to change certain settings, but of course don't want to leave them default when they're not optimized..

Again, I hope this is in the correct forum, and thank you to anyone that can offer any help...

i have a guide in my sig that may help. It's a little out of date (designed for vb 3.7, vbseo 3.2) but the vast majority of it is still good info.

Welcome aboard Toni. In vBulletin + vBSEO, you get the best combination of forum + SEO out there. There is a small amount of techie stuff required to do the installations. If you're not comfortable with FTP uploading, setting up a database, and file editing, etc, then you'll probably want to seek out some help.

Both vBulletin and vBSEO teams do provide a paid installation service. However, you can also find freelance consultants who will provide the service at a lower cost. This would help to reduce the total cost of getting started if you require installation and setup for both applications.

The key thing to remember is to be sure that you are serious about creating the forum. vBSEO will deliver traffic for you. However, building a community and adding great content does involve your commitment if you want to achieve the maximum level of success like many of our customers.

Once you get started, and start seeing the hits roll in, it gets pretty exciting.
