it wont effect your performance at all really, and it will have no effect on seo either. It's more of a community discussion thing.

You should not focus always technical seo details. For example if visitors like the change (like tweetboard) and stay more on site or does not go back to google. It has another seo value which you should consider. Otherwise i agree there is not any difference. You can follow few days how it affects by counter and then decide on a better decision.
