How to safely remove SEO from Forum?

I would like to remove the VbSEO from my forum.

Is there a guide or anything to show me how to uninstall without losing anything.

I had a go at removing the files on my FTP and i could not get on the board at all, so i replaced the files.

    Any help would be great,

    thanks.

Well you would first want to go into your vbseocp.php and disable the script. Then you would uninstall the product from your vbulletin admincp. Then you would remove all of the files (including the .htacces)

Any reason that you are uninstalling it?

Yeah, i am moving it to another board, not getting rid of it.

    Thanks for the info,

How do i disable individual scripts like that, not sure, never had to do it before?

    Thanks, Luke.

I have follow the instructions above and uninstalled the SEO, but i cant delete the vbseo.php file as the forum will not load.

I have looked in my root and cant see a .htacces file, so i must have deleted that already.

i need assistance removing it as well... vbulletin product support is telling me i have to remove it after a funky upgrade to 3.7.2 ...

support said "you will need to uninstall vbseo along with the changes it made to the .htaccess file."

I uninstalled vbseo - and reran the Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

    and i get this output:

    ./
vbseo.php File does not contain expected contents
vbseocp.php File does not contain expected contents
vbseocpform.php File does not contain expected contents

    ./admincp
admin_vbseo.php File does not contain expected contents

    ./includes
functions_vbseo.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_cache.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_createurl.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_crr.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_db.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_hook.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_linkback.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_misc.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_pre.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_seo.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_startup.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_url.php File does not contain expected contents
functions_vbseo_vb.php File does not contain expected contents

    ./includes/cron
vbseo_serviceupdate.php File does not contain expected contents

    ./modcp
vbseo_moderate.php File does not contain expected contents

then, if I manually remove those files (as they're saying the "does not contain expected contents is a problem) my forum doesn't work at all...

i need help with the .htaccess and the only one i'm seeing is a .htaccess in the vbseo_sitemap\data folder...

You should remove or rename .htaccess file in forums folder or upload empty .htaccess.

hmm... i created a .htaccess (empty file) and placed it in the root of the forums directory... removed all of the vbseo files again and I am getting the 'No input file specified.' message when trying to view the forum
