    How to measure google referals

How do you accurately measure how many referals per day you get from for example, Google?
Are you guys using a special tool, or service? Is it this Google Analytics I keep hearing about or are there other means? I have Urchin installed on my server but it sorts all the different google.com, google.ca, google.se etc, into different referals. No way of getting them neatly summed up into a totalt number for each day.

    Any tips appreciated!

Where are you placing the Analytics code for vbulletin? Which template and where? Will the placement matter?

Which version of vbseo are you using. There is an option in the latest version to include the google analytics code.

vBSEO will add the Analytics code for you automatically. Just enter the Analytics ID in the vBSEO Control Panel.

Thank you ! I'll have to work on that tonight because I am late for work. The code was placed in the footer....

VBSEO was just installed the other day and I am just learning about the product.

I seem to be lost - how do I get to the vBSEO Control Panel

    Update: Shaking head. Never mind.

However ... The google analytics ID is placed in the control panel field and the cofig saved but a view source does not show the google analytics. What do you think I have done wrong?

    Thank you

I must have looked past that value in the cp a hundred times. The value is now set and the code shows.
