How do I remove the link (and even the text) from parent categories from the breadcrumbs.

Specifically, the breadcrumbs are using this link:

PUA FORUM | The Definitive Pick Up Artist Forum (with anchor text: New Forum Members Start Here). Well this is somewhat polluting the onsite seo for my home page... since each parent category has a link with different anchor text to the front page from numerous pages.

Can anyone help (I've done quite a bit of fiddling with this and haven't found a solution).

To be more clear:

On forumdisplay pages the navbar breadcrumbs have this:
PUA Forum > New Forum Members Start Here > New Member Introductions (I want to delete the part in red which is a link to the parent forum which doesn't act as a forum: www.puaforums.com/#new-forum-members-start-here)

On showthread pages the navbar breadcrumbs have this:
PUA Forum > New Forum Members Start Here > New Member Introductions
New member in SF (again I want to delete the empty parent category link which just goes to the homepage)
