Google Webmaster Tools Site performance

I'm curious what other vbulletin users are seeing for this new labs feature.

Here's what mine says:

On average, pages in your site take 14.1 seconds to load (updated on Dec 18, 2009). This is slower than 97% of sites.

Yuck! And this is with two very powerful servers (8 cores each), and offloading a lot of static content to CDN's. What is yours?

Mine says

On average, pages in your site take 9.0 seconds to load (updated on Dec 18, 2009). This is slower than 91% of sites. For your reference, it also shows the 20th percentile value across all sites, separating slow and fast load times.

But my site loads instantly for me and all my friends. Your site loads way quicker for me then 14.1 seconds also.

Yeh, I'm not taking the time literally. The data comes from users using the google toolbar, explained here: Site performance - Webmasters/Site owners Help

So, I'm sure a lot of these users also have slow connections.

That's just 1 forum running on its own, from 2 servers.

That's pretty good woostar - sounds like you have things optimized well.

I feel my site loads damn fast. I would take this rating not too serious.

And, WOAH. (Above was vBE, this is NZB.. which only days ago was 'slower than 90% of all sites).

hrm - I guess if you get a smaller amount of people that have broadband connections and a google toolbar visiting your site, you're going to see lower average load time according to google site performance.

Yup, and also bear in mind - 20 mins after I got that awesome result I tried again and got 'slower than 65% of all websites'.
