 Google spider not use meta description again now!! here is example
i search in google site:vbseo.com - Google Search the result is like this, please see the description, why there is date now there, its not meta description, it is content from a page, few weeks/month later there is no date there so they still use meta description before Quote:

You want to know why they don't use the META description for the Google snippet?

yeah what is your analysis? this can decrease clicks to our website i am always monitoring my website, vbulletin and vbseo website in google serp like i said, a few weeks/month a go, google still appearing description like this Quote:

Google wants to make sure they highly the most relevant snippet. As you can imagine, META description is certainly not always the most relevant. But the text in the snippet has to come from the page. We've found that our Relevant Replacements feature sometimes helps forums with complicated or graphic intensive styles to help get a better snippet into Google. Note: Some sites even end up with the copyright notices as the snippet when their template has errors, or is just too complex with excess graphics or nest tables, etc.

I recently saw a thread where someone posted that this seemed to be related to sticky threads. It's usually a template issue.
