Not much from Google after 2 weeks is pretty normal. Read thru my forum's history to see one possibility of what to expect.

I'm pretty decent with SEO and it took 4.5 months for Google to really be nice to my site.

he has alot more indexed pages on google
How many is "a lot" of pages? 10, 100, 1000, more?

It's extremely unusual for a *new* website (forum or non-forum) to be doing "well" in G after only 2 weeks. My guess is that there's something you're missing. Either his site has been around longer than 2 weeks or there's some other factor(s) that you're not considering.

    Good luck,
    Ross

Interesting, his domain name has actually been registered longer than mine but the forum has been up approx the same time. Thank you rmjvol. I will try some tweaking.

Note that it's important to keep track of your organic referred traffic. # of SERPS is not an accurate measurement of progress.

You may have 5k pages indexed and get more traffic than having, say 13K pages with a less consistent URL structure (where 1 page is represented often in 5 to 10+ different URLs)

Another thing, if you've changed the number of posts that show on a thread page, you might have reduced the # of pages by yourself. That's one reason why my indexed pages went down recently.
